At UNIOPPO, we closely monitor 23 select universities. The rankings of the universities listed on this page are based on the QS World University Rankings 2026 Canada. Rankings may vary from year to year. Please refer to the latest QS rankings as the standard.
Other ranking results may differ slightly from this one due to differences in the core indicators used. Why do we choose QS rankings? Because it directly answers the two questions students care about most: ‘Will my degree give me an advantage when job hunting?’ and ‘Will I receive sufficient academic support?’
Please note that these universities aren’t the only ones within their ranking range. If your university of interest isn’t listed, please visit its official website for more details.

Don’t miss the just-added content
Below is our exclusive University Academic Calendar. We choose the top 10 of Canada’s most sought-after universities among domestic and international students—McGill, U of T, UBC, U of Alberta, U of Waterloo, Western, McMaster, York, Concordia, and U of Ottawa.
While the latter three may not be top-ranked, their location in big cities is a big draw for students, and this is especially true for international students. Later on, depending on which schools get the most attention, we might switch up the list.
Due to space constraints, it only features the essential academic schedules for the fall and winter terms. To match Waterloo’s three-semester co-op system, we’ve included all three term schedules in our calendar.
For a clean and easy-to-read layout, this calendar only shows university names and key events. Find detailed schedules on the university websites linked above. Note that if a university doesn’t have a single schedule for all its departments, we’ll use the schedule from its largest one in our calendar.
Schedules can vary depending on the student group and program, so we cannot list every single date. For the most accurate information, please refer to the official links above.

It’s about the journey, not the destination!
University life is all about the journey rather than the destination. It’s important to focus on essential aspects.
